See Our Work on Victoria’s Largest Solar Farm Project
At 110MWp the Bannerton Solar Park is one of Victoria’s largest. It supplies electricity to Melbourne’s “green trams” initiative under an agreement with the Victorian Government. The project was commissioned on-time and budget, as well as meeting all its social and procurement commitments to the State.
Syncline completed the bankable feasibility study, secured ARENA funding and Foresight UK as partners, designed and secured grid connection, negotiated leases, PPA’s, debt package, EPC Contract and infrastructure equity investment from the UK and Asia. The project included an expansion of Powercor’s 66kV system and Ausnet’s Wemen Terminal Station.
Bannerton Solar Park
Victoria’s (then) largest solar farm up and running by mid-2018. Syncline also established a local community grant program and supported the and Robinvale Secondary College, who’s talented students designed the Bannerton Solar Park Logo.
The project is built on 192 Ha of unproductive land inside an almond orchard that had no productive agricultural use. The site had the highest standard of bio-security and weed hygiene and we developed special protocols for operating adjacent to almond rows.
